RenewalGuard Privacy Terms

Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 1 July 2026  ·  Effective: 1 July 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your", "the user") and 3iApps ("3iApps", "we", "us", "our") governing your use of the RenewalGuard browser extension and any related services, websites, and software (together, the "Service").

By installing, accessing, or using RenewalGuard, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Service.

2. What RenewalGuard is — and what it is not

2.1 What it does

RenewalGuard is a tool that, locally within your browser, looks for and draws your attention to certain page elements at online checkouts — for example pre-checked subscription boxes, automatic-renewal terms, urgency timers, hard-to-find cancellation links, and items added to a cart without your action. It also lets you manually record and track your own subscriptions and set reminders.

2.2 What it is NOT — important disclaimer

RenewalGuard is an informational and convenience tool only. You acknowledge and agree that:

You are solely responsible for your own purchasing decisions. Always read the merchant's own terms before completing any purchase.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and able to form a binding contract, to use the Service or purchase RenewalGuard Pro.

4. Licence to use the Service

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use RenewalGuard for your own personal, non-commercial use. We retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all intellectual property rights. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or branding.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach this section.

6. Free and Pro tiers

6.1 Free

The free tier provides the core local features described in the Service, at no cost.

6.2 Pro

RenewalGuard Pro unlocks additional features (for example advanced local analytics, custom reminder scheduling, CSV export, cross-device sync, and dark mode). Pro is provided on a paid subscription basis as described at the point of purchase.

We may change which features are included in each tier over time. If we materially reduce the features of a paid tier you are currently paying for, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel as set out below.

7. Payment, billing, and automatic renewal

Please read this section carefully. It explains that your subscription renews automatically.

7.1 Prices

RenewalGuard Pro is offered at the prices displayed at checkout (for example £1.99 / month or £14.99 / year, or such prices as we publish from time to time). Prices are shown inclusive or exclusive of applicable taxes as indicated at checkout. Applicable VAT or sales tax may be added.

7.2 Payment processor

Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing, you also agree to Stripe's terms. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details. Your purchase is subject to authorisation by Stripe and your card issuer.

7.3 Automatic renewal — your consent

When you purchase a RenewalGuard Pro subscription, it renews automatically. Unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period:

and your payment method will be automatically charged the then-current price for the next period, at the start of that period, until you cancel. By subscribing, you expressly authorise us and Stripe to charge your payment method on this recurring basis.

7.4 How to cancel

You can cancel at any time through the subscription-management ("billing portal") link provided in the Extension or via the link in your purchase-confirmation email, or by emailing support@3iapps.com. Cancellation stops future renewals. When you cancel, you keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again after that.

7.5 Price changes

We may change subscription prices. If we change the price applicable to your renewing subscription, we will give you reasonable advance notice. The new price applies to billing periods after the notice; if you do not accept it, you may cancel before the next renewal.

7.6 Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, we may retry, suspend, or downgrade your Pro access until payment succeeds.

8. Right to cancel (consumer "cooling-off") and refunds

8.1 Statutory right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you normally have a legal right to cancel a purchase of digital content/services within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason.

Important: Because RenewalGuard Pro is digital content/services supplied immediately, by purchasing and beginning to use Pro you may expressly request that supply begins immediately and acknowledge that you will lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once the service has been fully supplied / once you have started using it, to the extent permitted by law. Where the service has not been fully performed, any statutory cancellation right that remains is unaffected by these Terms.

8.2 Our refund approach

Beyond your statutory rights, we want you to be satisfied. If you are unhappy, contact support@3iapps.com and we will consider a refund fairly and in good faith. Refunds are processed via Stripe to your original payment method.

8.3 Your statutory rights

Nothing in these Terms removes your statutory consumer rights, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (UK) or equivalent EU consumer-protection law.

9. Licence keys

If your Pro purchase provides a licence key, you are responsible for keeping it secure. It is for your personal use only. We may invalidate licence keys that are shared, abused, obtained fraudulently, or associated with a cancelled or refunded subscription.

10. Third-party websites and services

The Service operates on third-party websites and works with third-party services (such as Stripe). We are not responsible for the content, practices, terms, availability, or accuracy of any third-party website or service, including any merchant on which RenewalGuard runs. Your dealings with those third parties are solely between you and them.

11. Availability, changes, and updates

We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes that adversely affect paying users. The Service may be updated automatically through your browser's extension store. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every website, browser version, or device.

12. Disclaimers of warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and without affecting your statutory rights as a consumer, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

In particular, we do not warrant that the Service will detect all subscriptions, charges, renewals, or deceptive designs, that it will be free of false positives, or that it will prevent any financial loss.

13. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law (including your statutory consumer rights).

Subject to that, to the maximum extent permitted by law:

You acknowledge that the Service is an aid to your own diligence, not a substitute for it, and that this allocation of risk is reflected in the price of the Service.

14. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless 3iApps and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent such claims arise from our own breach, negligence, or wrongful act.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Service and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service unlawfully. On termination, the licence in Section 4 ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (including Sections 2.2, 12, 13, 14, 16, and 17) survive termination.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. Nothing in this section deprives you of protections that cannot be derogated from by agreement.
